About Jim Mackin

 Jim Mackin is a historian, author, and co-director of the Bloomingdale Neighborhood History Group where he has made presentations such as “The Battle of Harlem Heights,” “Historic Hospitals in the Bloomingdale Area,” and “The Ninth Avenue El.” He was President of the Friends of Taconic State Park in Columbia County, New York, and President of the Roebling Chapter of the Society for Industrial Archeology. He founded and led WeekdayWalks tours. In addition to occasional tours for New York Historical, his latest endeavors include performing with a cabaret group and working on his next book.
