Alexander might be best remembered for his roles in The Cherry Orchard and The Three Penny Opera, both at Lincoln Center in 1977. His credits on Broadway are extensive, and he wrote, directed, produced, and organized theater companies. TV roles on such shows as Studio One, The Adams Chronicles and The Defenders also kept him busy. He was born in Cairo of Lebanese and Syrian parents.
